I am originally from NH and grew up going to an Episcopal Church with my family where my mom, dad, and I were all very active members. Both of my parents served on vestry, my dad was Sr. and Jr. warden numerous times and my mom was the organizer and go-to person for the women's ministry activities for years. We all sang in the choir and I substituted on organ when I was older. My youth group helped fund the organist salary one year on my recommendation at an annual meeting!
I am reaffirmed in the Episcopal tradition.
As an adult I was active in St. Mary's in Laguna Beach, CA
and St. Clement's by the Sea in San Clemente, CA for a short time, but have not
been able to be active in the Episcopal Church again until recently joining St.
Tims in 2013, as I found employment in Music Ministry and Children's Ministry
for other churches such as the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA and the
Church of the Nazarene in Concord, CA serving in such capacities as a paid
soprano, worship leader, and administrative assistant. I missed serving in the Episcopal Church
very much.
This past year I served as a delegate for St. Tims at the
convention. I helped with VBS in 2014
and I worked as part of the FFF team for the 2015 Christmas pageant. I led and organized the music for the 2015
Women's Retreat and I'll lead the music for the upcoming 2016 Women's Retreat,
I served on worship team for the 11am service from 2013 to Aug. 2015 and helped
the worship team during Peter's sabbatical in 2014. St. Tims was also home for both a wedding in
Nov. 2014 and a voice recital in June 0f 2015 for me.
Attributes:
Caring, flexible, kind, strong, thoughtful, and trustworthy
I would serve wherever there was a need, however, I feel I
am best qualified to serve in the areas of transition in clergy, search,
profile and ministry statement, human resources, communications, and preschool.
Ross Johnson Bio
I started attending St. Timothy’s in 1997 with my wife
Sue-Ellen Johnson. I have been baptized
and confirmed in the Episcopal Church.
Sue-Ellen and I tithe. Sue-Ellen and I
have led a weekly covenant group at our home for over 10 years.
I was a member of the Vestry from the year 2001 to 2003 and
was Senior Warden during the first two years of my service on the board. I was also on the Vestry from 2006 to 2008
and was the Junior Warden the third year.
I participated on the recent Search Committee during the period of 2011 to
2012.
I have managed the church IT systems for the last 15 years,
installing the first network in about year 2000. Recently with the help of our facilities
person I rewired the network in administration/rector office, installed the
Voice over Internet (VOIP) phones for the office and preschool to save money
and managed the internet service provider microwave installation and commercial
relationship. I have been an active member of the church music ministry for the
last 12 years.
I retired from my job of 40 years in the earth science
instrument business in 2015. As VP of
Sales and Marketing for many years, I bring communication skills as well as
technical expertise to analyze and resolve communications, printing and network
issues at the church.
Marguerite Williams Bio
Born and raised, christened and confirmed as an Anglican in
the UK. Marguerite first started
attending St. Timothy’s, about 14 years ago attracted by the Children’s service
and the Wednesday night dinners. Since then she has attended the 5pm service,
and now attends the 11:00 am.
She is currently
serving on the Altar Guild, and serves in the 11:00 am on the Lector and
Eucharistic Minister schedules.
Marguerite came to the US for 9 months 20+ years ago with
her husband, Jock, and family. They have
two children, one is working in Edinburgh, UK and the other is studying
Software Engineering in San Luis Obispo. Marguerite is a recent graduate from
San Jose State and has just started working at Burr Pilger Mayer in IT
Assurance. In her spare time, Marguerite likes to travel – to the UK, walk,
read and cave.
Having recently obtained her CPA license she would bring her
understanding of business and finance to the vestry. In the past she has been
involved in church growth. She would be interested in participating in the
search, and communications. While trying to live her life as a Christian, she
still strives towards the goal of “prayer without ceasing”.
Christopher Paul Bio:
Hi – My name is Christopher Paul. My wife Mary Kay and I have been attending St. Tim’s for over 13 years. We regularly attend the 9:00 am service with our daughters Julienne, Sierra and Haley. In my day job I run the San Francisco office for Pariveda Solutions which is a technology consulting firm headquartered in Dallas. I’ve also worked for other consulting firms leading teams to help large companies leverage technology to more effectively market and sell their products and services.I’d like to leverage these skills to help St. Tim’s grow. I’ve served on the vestry before during a transitional time for St. Tim’s doing my best to help navigate us through those difficult times. In the past I have also helped out with the Men’s Retreat, Men’s Group and the Parish BBQ.Looking forward I’d like to help with the Search for our new rector and both in-reach and outreach.
